Valkyria Chronicles 3 - No.26

Drew up another character that I quite liked from Valkyria Chronicles 3. This time, it's Squad 422's quiet and mysterious loner, No.26 (Gisele Fleming).





Originally wanted to draw her firing a flamethrower, or her dancing while surrounded by flames, but instead opted for something a little quieter and mysterious instead.

Put some shadows by the eye area, to suggest that she's not quite all there.

Raided all my SAI tutorial books, but none of them had anything regarding how to do lighting and shadows in a picture where the only light source is a match. What I came up with was very experimental, but I'm kinda happy with what I got.





Hmm...when it comes to game characters, I realized that I quite like slightly loopy characters.

VC2 had Melissa, VC3 has Gisele.
